Today the Prosecutor in General of Armenia Aghvan Hovsepyan received
the leader of political and economic department of the US Embassy
Steven Benksi and the consultant of the Embassy Steven Kessler.

According to the Prosecutor in General, the officials discussed the
procedure of the March 1-2 events’ criminal cases, as well as the
question of providing consultant to the investigation group. Yet in
2008 the Prosecutor in general of Armenia applied to the Embassy
interim Commissioner Josef Pannington to provide an international
expertise and consultancy to the local investigative groups to examine
common cases.

A. Hovsepyan said that a few other international organizations have
been also asked to provide expertise but no support is provided except
comments. The Prosecutor in General asked to provide those materials
of March 1-2 events which the Embassy has shooted, but it was revealed
that Embassy has not materials of their own in this regard.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
