NUMBER OF TOURISTS TO ARMENIA INCREASES BY 13.3% IN FIRST HALF OF 2008 ON SAME PERIOD OF 2007

YEREVAN, AUGUST 20, NOYAN TAPAN. 207,479 tourists visited Armenia in
January-June 2008 – against 183,110 tourists in the same period of
2007, with the growth in their number making 13.3%.

According to the RA National Statistical Service, 211,182 people
left Armenia to travel abroad in the indicated period, their number
increased by 12.8% as compared with January-June 2007.
