Inter-departmental commission to fight money laundering established in
NKR

On 6 September NKR President Bako Sahakyan signed a decree on forming
an inter-departmental commission on fighting money laundering and
terrorism sponsorship, Central Information Department of the Office of
the NKR President reported.

According to the decree, the inter-departmental commission was formed
to fight money laundering and sponsorship of terrorism in the Nagorno
Karabagh Republic as well as to organize an effective coordination of
activities between competent authorities. The composition of the
commission is the following:

Prime-minister of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic (chairman of the
commission);
Minister of Finance of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic (deputy chairman
of the commission);
Representative of the Office of the President of the Nagorno Karabakh
Republic;
Chairman of the NKR Supreme Court;
Attorney-general of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic;
Minister of Justice of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic;
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic;
Director of the National Security Service under the NKR Cabinet of
Ministers;
Head of the State Tax Service under the NKR Cabinet of Ministers;
Head of the NKR Police.

According to the decree, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Nagorno
Karabakh Republic is to adopt the charter of the commission within a
month.
