EDWARD NALBANDIAN: ARMENIA RESOLUTE TO NORMALIZE RELATIONS WITH TURKEY

On September 7 RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received the EU
Special Representative for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby.
At the request of the guest, Minister Nalbandian presented the results
of Turkish President’s visit to Armenia. Edward Nalbandian said the
Armenian side is resolute to continue the consistent steps towards the
normalization of relations with Turkey targeted at the establishment
of trust, stability, security and cooperation in the region.
For his part, Peter Semneby highly appreciated Armenia’s initiative
and resoluteness to normalize the relations with Turkey and noted
that the European Union is ready to render maximum support to the
process of normalization of relations.
Minister Nalbandian and Ambassador Semneby discussed the latest
developments in the region and dwelt on the settlement of the Nagorno
Karabakh issue.
