TO OVERCOME PSYCHOLOGICAL BARRIER

In his interview given to the Turkish journalists during his return
from Armenia, Turkish President Abdullah Gyul announced that by his
visit to Armenia the two sides managed to overcome the psychological
barrier between Armenia and Turkey and Caucasus in general.

Emphasizing that he got great pleasure from his visit to Armenia
and the attention of Armenian President Serge Sargsyan towards him,
Gyul said that for Turkey the issue of Nagorno Karabakh is the most
important problem in Caucasus, regarding which they had detailed
discussions in Armenia. "I didn’t expect that Serge Sargsyan will
discuss Karabakh issue with me in such details," he said.

Underscoring that they didn’t discuss the issue of opening Turkish
-Armenian border President Gyul said: "In case we manage to maintain
the warm atmosphere between Ankara and Yerevan, everything will be
normalized. At the moment there is no conversation about opening
the border."

"I believe my visit to Armenia destroyed the psychological barrier
in Caucasus," the Turkish President announced.
