Levon Aronian Beats Vesselin Topalov In 7th Round Of "Grand Slam"

LEVON ARONIAN BEATS VESSELIN TOPALOV IN 7TH ROUND OF "GRAND SLAM"

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 10, ARMENPRESS: Armenian grand master Levon Aronian
beat Bulgarian Vesselin Topalov in the 7th round of the "Grand Slam"
championship held in the Spanish town of Bilbao.

In the other games of the round Ukrainian Vassili Ivanchuk beat
Norwegian Magnus Karlsen, Vishvanatan Anand played draw with
Azerbaijani Teymur Rajabov.

After this round the championship is topped by M. Karlsen with 11
points, second comes V. Topalov 10 points, the third is Levon Aronian
with 9 points. V. Ivanchuk is the fourth with 8 points, V. Anand and
T. Rajabov are sharing 5-6 places with 6 points each.
