SABENA TECHNICS AND ARMAVIA ARE NEGOTIATING FOR ESTABLISHING AIRPLANE REPAIR JV

ArmInfo. Sabena Technics (Belgium) and Armavia air company are
negotiating to establish joint venture for repair of Airbuses and
Boeings, President of Sabena Technics Christophe Bernardini told
journaliasts in Yerevan today.

He said that Armavia was quickly developing and was ready to increase
the number of its flights. Sabena Technics has cooperated with Armavia
for several years already. Today it is ready to enlarge its cooperation
and to set up a joint venture that will maintain Armavia’s planes.

The negotiations are underway and the parties have not yet fixed
their shares in the JV.

The owner of Armavia Mikhail Bagdassarov said that relevant memoranum
was signed in early 2007 during the visit of the Armenian president
to Belgium.

Today both companies are developing and have things to offer to
one another.

Presently Armavia is negotiating for purchasing an Airbus and a
Boeing. The company already has two A-320, two A-319, one CRJ-100, one
Tu-134, one YAK 42, one IL 86 (under repair) and one Boeing 737-300.
