ANNUAL MEETING OF HEADS OF LEGAL DEPARTMENTS OF CIS AND BALTIC CENTRAL
BANKS TO BE HELD IN YEREVAN ON SEPTEMBER 16-17
YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 13, NOYAN TAPAN. An annual meeting of the heads of
the legal departments of the central banks of CIS and Baltic states
will be held in Yerevan on September 16-17. According to the PR service
of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA), the meeting will be attended by
14 officials of the legal departments of the central banks of Armenia,
Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Russia, Tadjikistan, Ukraine
and Estonia.
It is envisaged to discuss the following subjects at the annual
meeting: the legal aspects of reforms in the financial and credit
sector, the practical mechanisms of supervisory functions and the use
of penalties by the central banks, protection of consumer rights and
the institution of financial ombudsman, the structural reforms in the
sectors of money circulation restriction, credit bureaus, currency
regulation and control.
