ARMENIAN FOREIGN MINISTER EDWARD NALBANDIAN MEETS WITH MATTHEW BRYZA, DEPUTY ASSISTANT SECRETARY OF STATE, CO-CHAIR OF MINSK GROUP

On September 13 Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received
Matthew Bryza, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Co-Chair of the
OSCE Minsk Group.

The main issues of the agenda were Nagorno-Karabakh peace process,
recent regional developments and Armenian-Turkish relations.

Touching upon recent developments of Armenian-Turkish relations Edward
Nalbandian mentioned that Armenian side positively assesses Turkish
President Abdullah Gul’s visit to Armenia which can be a serious
stimulus to start a dialogue.

Speaking about Turkey’s initiative to establish Caucasus stability and
security platform, Armenian Foreign Minister mentioned that Armenia
welcomes the steps aimed at strengthening confidence and ensuring
development cooperation in the region.

On the guest’s request Minister Nalbandian presented the results of
his visit to Georgia.

Edward Nalbandian and Matthew Bryza also touched upon several
international and regional issues.
