ARMENIAN GOVERNMENT ALLOCATES 44MLN AMD FOR START OF PROJECT WORK FOR CONSTRUCTION OF AIRPORT IN JERMUK

ArmInfo. The Armenian Government has allocated 44mln AMD ($145,000)
for the start of the project work for the construction of an airport
in Jermuk, Vayots Dzor region.
The money will be spent on the selection of a territory for the new
airport. 30mln AMD more will be allocated for planning the area and
10mln AMD for designing helicopter site and maintenance station. A
total of 84mln AMD will be given to the Urban Development Ministry.
To remind, the Government has granted Jermuk the status of tourist
center and by 2012 is planning to increase the annual number of
tourists visiting Jermuk to 100,000 against present 5,000.
