Congressmen Frank Palo and George Radanovich, together with 20 dozens
of other colleagues, have addressed a letter to President George
W. Bush with an appeal to provide financial assistance to Armenia for
mitigating the negative impact of the Georgian developments upon the
economy of our country.

The American Congressmen appeal to the Bush Administration to ensure
that the official Tbilisi sends the major part of the allocated sums
to Javahk.

"The Armenian-populated region of Samtskhe-Javakhetsi is suffering
a deep economic crisis. It is necessary to direct some part of the
American assistance to the fight against poverty in the region,
contribute to the restoration of the communication channels, as well
as promote the investment policy in Javahk," the congressmen announce.
