KAREN KARAPETYAN HEAD OF PRESIDENT’S STAFF

On 29 September the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan signed a
decree by appointing Karen Karapetyan the Head of President’s Staff,
reported the press service of the President’s Administration.

K. Karapetyan was born in 2 March, 1961 in Gharakilisa village,
Kalinino region. He finished the local school with excellent marks.

In 1982 he graduated from Politachnical Institute named after K. Marks
by engineer’s qualification. In 1989 he graduated from High Political
School in Doni Rostov.

In 1982-1983 Karapetyan worked in Kalinino as a teacher and after
till 1985 he worked as an engineer.

In 1995-1999 he was a deputy of National Assembly of Armenia. After
till 2007 he has been NA deputy and a member of finance credit,
budget and economic affairs committee.

Since 2007 may Karapetyan has been the leader of Republican fraction
of NA. He is married, has 3 children.
