90TH ANNIVERSARY OF BAKU`S LIBERATION FROM BOLSHEVIK- ARMENIAN OCCUPATION MARKED IN TORONTO

Azerbaijani and Turkish communities have organized a ceremony, in
Toronto, Canada, to mark the 90th anniversary of Baku`s liberation
from Bolshevik- Armenian occupation.

The event brought together Azerbaijani and Turkish MPs who are
attending the OSCE PA fall session, Azerbaijan`s Charge daffaires in
Canada Farid Shafiyev, counsellor at the Turkish embassy in Canada
Yonet Tezel and others.

Azerbaijan`s Deputy Speaker, head of the parliamentary delegation to
the OSCE PA Bahar Muradova told of national leader Heydar Aliyev`s
efforts to enhance the country`s image in the world community.

She stressed the Azerbaijan Government was willing to organize joint
activities of Turkic-speaking peoples` Diaspora organizations.
