"The Defense Ministry and I personally have nothing to do with the
split of the "Land Defender Volunteers’ Union" and we have never made
any attempts to split the union," told A1+ today Defense Minister
Seyran Ohanyan during the event "We are inheritors of victory" at
Victory Park.
Ohanyan’s response referred to the rumors going around that he
has something to do with the disagreements within the LDVU and is
getting ready to be the next leader of the union. Let us remind
that disagreements began when most of the union members joined the
pan-Armenian movement. According to Ohanyan, he has always worked
for a purpose and has always remembered his friends from the army.
"The land defenders and liberation soldiers are the inheritors of
our victory and we can’t forget them. The people who should think
about that are the ones who believe that we are to blame for the
split of the union and do nothing to unite the liberation soldiers
and discipline the generations to come," added Ohanyan.
