PARTICIPATION OF INTERNET-PROVIDERS IN USING ARMENTEL INFRASTRUCTURE NOT TO CHANGE THE COMPETITION LEVEL AT THE MARKET

ArmInfo. Participation of the Internet-providers in using ArmenTel
infrastructure will not change the competition level at the market,
head of ArmenTel judicial service David Sandukhchyan told ArmInfo
correspondent.

He also added it is necessary to stimulate development of the net
infrastructure, otherwise alternative nets will not develop and
ArmenTel will become the dominating operator for a long period of
time. ‘There are providers which protest against the fact that in
Armenia there is no practice of the joint using of infrastructure but
modern optical nets are being constructed’, – he said. As for the rent
prices, Sandukhchyan said the prices were endorsed by the regulator
and if providers think they are not fair, they can apply to the court.
