Governor Schwarzenegger Announces Appointments

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today announced the following
appointments:

Maria Mehranian, 50, of La Cañada, has been appointed to the Los
Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board. She has served at the
Cordoba Corporation as managing partner since 1992 and previously served
as vice president of urban and transportation planning from 1986 to
1992. Mehranian is a member of the American Planning Association,
California Hospital Medical Center Foundation Board of Directors and is
chairperson for Armenia Fund. This position requires Senate confirmation
and the compensation is $100 per diem. Mehranian is a Democrat.
