INTERNATIONAL POVERTY CHALLENGE DAY

Today the world celebrates the International Poverty Challenge Day. In
1992 the UN Chief Assembly declared October 17 the International
Poverty Challenge Day.

According to the National Statistics Service in 2004-2007 the index
of poverty in the country has been significantly reduced. More than
300 thousands people managed to meet the poverty.

Since 2007 poverty in Armenia is not so much indeep. But still poverty
is a problem for Armenia as 25% of population is poor.
