20% RISE IN PRICES FOR PRIVATE HOUSES IN YEREVAN IN JAN-SEPT

YEREVAN, October 20. /ARKA/. A 19.9% rise in the average market prices
for private houses was recorded in Yerevan in January-September as
compared with the corresponding period last year.
Head of the RA Real Estate Register Manuk Vardanyan reported that
the average prices for private houses exceeded 305,300 AMD per 1sq
meter in January-September 2008 against 254,600 AMD last year.
The highest prices were recorded in the Kentron (Center) community –
493,900 AMD per 1sq meter, and the lowest in the Nubarashen community –
157,200 AMD per 1sq meter.
The situation in the other communities was as follows: Arabkir
(417,800 AMD per 1sq meter), Kanaker-Zeitun (314,300 AMD), Nork-Marash
(282,800 AMD), Avan (275,500 AMD), Erebuni (276,200 AMD), Shengavit
(282,100 AMD), Davidashen (299,800 AMD), Achapnyak (283,900 AMD),
Malatia-Sebastia (274,800 AMD).
