The peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict demands mutual
concessions from both Armenia and Azerbaijan, considers Ovannes
Markaryan, deputy from the parliamentary faction "Orinats Yerkir",
which is part of the ruling coalition.
"Significant progress is obvious on the way of the peaceful resolution
of the Karabakh conflict. But the final decision must satisfy both
Armenia and Azerbaijan and Nagorno Karabakh, which is impossible
without mutual concessions", said Markaryan.
He also noted that the right of the Karabakh people for
self-determination and guarantees of security of Nagorno Karabakh
can not be an object of discussions.
The deputy voiced hope that the "upcoming meeting of the Presidents
of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan will promote the peaceful resolution
of the conflict".
