"Turkey’s mediation in the process of the resolution of Nagorno
Karabakh conflict is out of the question", said Armenian Foreign
Minister Edward Nalbandyan.
"Turkey may assist in the resolution of the Karabakh conflict by
settling relations with Armenia and opening its borders. Perhaps,
Turkey may influence the position of Azerbaijan for the latter to
demonstrate a more constructive position in talks. In this aspect
Turkey may take useful actions for the resolution", said the Minister.
According to Nalbandyan, it is now said that during the September
meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia, Turkey and Azerbaijan
in New York, the sides discussed the resolution of the Karabakh
conflict. The Armenian Foreign Minister noted that the said information
is false.
The Armenian FM noted that the meeting of the ministers lasted for only
15 minutes and they discussed the creation of the Caucasus platform,
initiated by Turkey.
"The initiative of holding a trilateral meeting was proposed by Turkey
and we accepted this proposal", explained he.
