11,406.5 THOUSAND LITERS OF BRANDY PRODUCED IN ARMENIA IN JAN/SEPT 2008

YEREVAN, November 4. /ARKA/. National Statistical Service of Armenia
says 11,406.5 thousand liters of brandy have been produced in Armenia
over the period between this year’s January and September.

This is 19.8% greater result than that of the same period of the
previous year.

The statistical report says 1,482.2 thousand liters of brandy were
produced in September.

According to the statistical report, wine output reduced 13.1% in
Armenia in Jan/Sept 2008 to 2,067.6 thousand liters (184.4 thousand
in September).

The report says 8,404.2 thousand liters of vodka and liqueur were
produced.

This result is 4.2% lower than that of the same period a year earlier.

Champaign production slumped to 159,800 liters against former 232,300
liters.

Some 8,726 thousand liters of beer were produced against 9,495.1
thousand.

Soft drinks output grew 23.3% to 32.2 million liters.
