MAJOR 4-5-POINT EARTHQUAKE RECORDED IN ARMENIA, NO VICTIMS OR DAMAGE REPORTED

YEREVAN, November 5. /ARKA/. A major 4-5-point earthquake occurred
yesterday in Armenia, 7 kilometers west from Masis town of Ararat
region, at 22:53 local time, the duty officer of Emergency Department
of Armenia’s National Survey for Seismic Protection told ARKA Agency.
No victims and damage have been reported.
"This is the first such major earthquake recorded in Armenia recently.
Last month shocks were recorded in Armavir, but of lower intensity,"
the man on duty said.
According to the National Survey for Seismic Protection, intensity
of shocks in Yerevan was 3-4 points.
