RA PRESIDENT CONGRATULATED BARACK OBAMA ON PRESIDENTIAL VICTORY

YEREVAN, 05.11.08. DE FACTO. RA President Serge Sargsian congratulated
Barack Obama on presidential victory.

According to the RA President’s Press Office, Armenian President’s
congratulatory message runs, in part,

"Dear Mr. Obama, I cordially congratulate you on election as the 44th
President of the United States of America.

I am convinced that during the years of your presidency
Armenian-American relations will get new quality, while economic and
political cooperation between our countries will become tighter for
the welfare of our friendly peoples.

The greatest structures of Armenian community of America have
repeatedly told me they are inspired with changes you have promised
to American nation.

I highly appreciate the level of your information and approaches to
the Armenian issues. I believe that American Armenians will become a
strong connecting links between our countries. Armenian people are
grateful to the United States for all-sided assistance, which has
been consistent since the first years of independence gained by you
country. We will continue exerting efforts so that assistance will
promote strengthening and economic growth of Armenia.

As the OSCE Minsk group co-chairing country, the U. S. also plays
an important role in the process of Karabakh conflict’s peaceful
settlement.

Again congratulating you on election as U. S. President, I wish you
strong health and fruitful activity for the welfare of the United
States of America and in the name of prosperity of American people".
