David Harutyunyan, the Deputy of National Assembly said that the Triple
Declaration on Nagorno Karabakh conflict signed by the Presidents
of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russian on November 2 is "an extremely
positive" and "valuable document". "The principle of the document is
the peaceful negotiations of the conflict, but peaceful negotiations
over Karabakh fate is a myth without the participation of Karabakh,"
said the deputy in a press conference commenting on the statements
that Nagorno Karabakh is left out of the negotiations.

According to Mr. Harutyunyan the recent military conflicts round South
Ossetia have proven that common conflicts should be avoided in the
region. "Hopefully the sides have learnt much from that case and I
am happy to see that we follow more logical way of negotiations. By
saying logical I mean that the sides are ready to concede and to gain
things. In true negotiations there should not be a defeated or a wining
side. In this case without the participation of Nagorno Karabakh any
process will become impossible," concluded Mr. David Harutyunan.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
