/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The August 2008 events revealed vulnerability of
the Caucasus, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said in an interview
with Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

"Georgia is very important for us, since it ensures transit of 70 per
cent of Armenia’s commodity turnover. 350 thousand of Armenians live
in Georgia. At the same time, we are Russia’s strategic ally. Despite
certain differences, we managed to avoid actions which could be taken
for hostility," he said, adding, "The war changed much throughout
the region but the Russian-Armenian relations were not damaged."

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
