ROME – A monument has been erected in the Italian city of Udine in
support of the alleged genocide of the Armenians by the Ottoman Empire
in 1915.
The opening was attended by Friuli Venice Giulia Regional
administration President Edouard Ballaman and Armenia’s Culture
Minister Hasmil Poshosyan.
Udine is the second city after Paris to recognize the killing of
Armenians as genocide.
