Yerevan, 17 November: Armenia is unaware of Ankara’s initiative to
organize a meeting between the Armenian, Azerbaijani and Turkish
presidents in Istanbul in late December. Armenian Foreign Minister
Eduard Nalbandyan said this in Yerevan today.
He said that the Armenian authorities had not received such a proposal
from the Turkish side.
[On 11 November, Azerbaijan’s ANS TV quoted Turkey’s ambassador to
Azerbaijan as saying that the three presidents were going to meet
in Turkey by the end of this year for talks on the Nagornyy Karabakh
conflict.]
