CONSTRUCTION OF EUROPE’S BIGGEST ARMENIAN CULTURE CENTER IN ODESSA IS OVER

ArmInfo. The construction of Europe’s biggest Armenian culture center
in Odessa (Ukraine) is over. The opening of the center is scheduled
for Nov 30.

The Black Sea Association of National News Agency quotes the leader
of the Armenian community of Odessa region Samvel Tigranyan as saying
that the construction of the center has lasted for three years.

Armenians from all over the world have helped us to build the center,
says Tigranyan.

The total area of the center is 4,000 sq m. The center has a gym,
a fitness club, a concert hall (420 seats), a ceremonies hall (200
seats), a school with music, arts and crafts, painting classes,
a hotel, offices, a conference hall. The community is negotiating
with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia for opening Consulate
General of Armenia for the Armenians of Southern Ukraine and Moldova.

The key mission of the center is education and popularization of
ancient Armenian culture. It is open not only to Armenians but to
representatives of other nationalities wishing to know more about
Armenia and Armenian culture, says Tigranyan.
