ESTONIAN PRESIDENT DICUSSES SITUATION IN REGION WITH ARMENIAN FOR MIN
TALLINN Nov 21
President Toomas Hendrik Ilves Friday met with Armenian Foreign
Minister Edward Nalbandian and discussed with him the situation in
Southern Caucasia.
The Estonian president credited Armenia for its increased contacts
with Turkey and Azerbaijan. "As member of the Eureopean Union and a
country interested in peaceful development in Europe Estonia supports
growth of security and stability in Southern Caucasia and peaceful
settlement of conflicts in that region," Ilves said.
He said it was in everyone’s interests to widen the zone of welfare
uniting countries acting and thinking in a similar way.
The Estonian head of state confirmed support to Armenia’s aspiration
on the European Union course and readiness for cooperation with
Armenia via devlopement cooperation projects.
