/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The task of non-governmental organizations is to
start a dialogue, according to an Armenian expert.

`Turkey is oppressed by the Armenian Genocide issue and EU accession
but a public dialogue can change the Turkish attitude of mind. We
should not underestimate the role of seminars we periodically hold,’
director of Caucasus Institute Alexander Iskandaryan told a
PanARMENIAN.Net reporter when commenting on the outcomes of
`Turkey-Armenia Dialogue Series: Breaking the Vicious Cycle’ seminar.

He noted that representatives from Nagorno Karabakh and the Turkish
Republic of Northern Cyprus were for the first time present at the
seminar on November 21. `It’s a bit hard to fancy but they were really
sitting next to each other and discussing problems. The Turkish
society came to separate Armenian issues from Azeri ones,’ he said.
