ARTSAKH IS ONE OF MOST IMPORTANT IDEAS OF ARMENIANS’ CONSOLIDATION

LOS ANGELES, NOVEMBER 24, NOYAN TAPAN. NKR President Bako Sahakian
met with RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobian on November 23 in
Los Angeles within the framework of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund’s
annual telethon.
Issues regarding deepening of the Homeland-Diaspora relations were
discussed, Artsakh’s pivotal importance for further strengthening of
these relations was emphasized during the meeting.
As Noyan Tapan was informed by the General Information Department
of NKR President’s Administration, the same day B. Sahakian met
with members of Western America’s Administrative Board of Hnchakian
Social-Democratic Party led by Chairman Hambik Safarian. Issues
regarding Artsakh-Diaspora interrelations, Nagorno Karabakh problem,
and NKR’s socio-economic development were discussed during the
meeting. The NKR President emphasized the necessity to further
strengthen the contacts between the Diaspora and Artsakh, to form
an atmosphere of constructive cooperation between various political
forces. Both sides mentioned that Artsakh and its future is one of
the most important consolidation ideas.
On November 23, B. Sahakian had a tete-a-tete talk with American
Armenian benefactor Vahe Karapetian. Issues regarding implementation
of various programs in Artsakh were discussed.
