ARMENIA CB’S GROSS EXTERNAL ASSETS $1,585.2MLN LATE IN Q3

YEREVAN, November 24. /ARKA/. In the 3rd quarter of 2008, the gross
external assets of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) increased by
$5.7mln or 0.36% and amounted to $1,585,247,530.34.
The CBA press service reports that the international reserves (gross
external assets in terms of hard currency) totaled $1,585,246,836.83 –
an increase of $5.7mln.
Special Drawing Rights (SDR) in the International Monetary Fund (IMF)
amounted to 8,988,019.40 or $13,996,345.76 – a quarterly decrease of
$578,071.78 or 3.97%, with a zero reserve position in the IMF.
Armenia’s net external assets totaled $1,398,220,071.69 – an increase
of 1.08%. Hard currency assets constituted a major part of this amount
– $1,398,219,378.18.
Early in the 3rd quarter, the CBA’s gross external assets had
totaled $1,579,571,643.27, with international reserves totaling
$1,579,570,941.11.
Special Drawing Rights (SDR) in the IMF totaled 8,921,569.40
or $14,574,417.54. Armenia’s net external assets amounted
to $1,383,273,318.68, with hard currency assets amounting to
$1,383,272,616.52.
