ARMENIAN NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL DELEGATION IN IRAN WITH AN OFFICIAL VISIT 23-24 NOVEMBER

ArmInfo. The delegation of the Armenian National Security Council
headed by its secretary Artur Bagdasaryan paid an official visit to
Iran on 23-24 November.
As press-service of the Armenian president reported, deputy foreign
minister Gegam Garibjanyan, deputies of the Armenian parliament
Hovanes Markaryan, Sukias Avetisyan and other official were within
the delegation.
Over the meeting with President of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinehad Artur
Bagdasaryan passed Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s greetings to
his Iranian counterpart. They touched on the problems of regional
security as well as construction of Iran-Armenia railway, highway
Armenia-Batumi-Iran and the joint projects in the sphere of oil
industry.
The delegation also met up secretary of Supreme Council of National
Security Saeed Jalil. They discussed political, economic and
strategical issues. They made an arrangement on setting up of the
relevant committee in national security councils of Armenia and Iran,
which will systemize resolving of many significant problems.
Members of the Armenian delegation also met speaker of the Iranian
parliament Ali Larijani and said of the necessity of enhancing of
the bilateral inter-parliamentary relations.
