Monte Melkonian’s Birthday Celebrated In Artsakh

MONTE MELKONIAN’S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATED IN ARTSAKH

STEPANAKERT, 26.11.08. DE FACTO. The birthday of a hero Monte
Melkonian, who had been killed in Artsakh war, was celebrated in
Artsakh on November 25.

Current year the legendary hero would be 51.

According to DE FACTO own correspondent in Nagorno-Karabakh, NKR PM
Ara Harutyunian, NKR MPs, and veterans of Artsakh war attended the
measures devoted to the hero’s memory.

A concert was held in Martuni within the frames of the measure. The
ceremony of opening a repaired building of the House of Culture named
after Mont Melkonian was also held.

Nagorno-Karabakh PM presented a group of NKR Martuni region’s home
guardsmen with awards (to some of them posthumously).
