FREE ECONOMIC ZONE IN ARMENIA

In the frames of activities to smoothen the influence of world economic
crisis, a free economic zone will be established in Armenia, said
Hayk Mirzoyan, of the Ministry of Economy. According to him a special
procedure is being drafted which should be presented to the Government.
According to Mirzoyan, "free economic zone" is suggested to be
considered the territory of "Zvartnots" airport and in Gyumri
also. He mentioned that the objective to create a free economic zone
is to guarantee a development for local agricultural products in the
international markets.
