2009 EUROPEAN JUDO YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP TO BE HELD IN YEREVAN

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 5, NOYAN TAPAN. An International Judo Tournament is
held on December 3-5 in Tehran, in which 4 sportsmen from Armenia,
Gor Azizbekian (60 kg, Artsakh), Paylak Vardazarian (66 kg,
Gyumri), Artur Abrahamian (66 kg, Yerevan), and Artak Abrahamian
(73 kg, Yerevan) also take part. Armenian national team’s coaches
Artur Gevorgian and Haroutiun Amirkhanian accompanied them to the
competition place. Noyan Tapan correspondent was informed about it
by Chairman of Judo Republican Federation Alexan Avetisian, who has
lately returned from Athens, where he took part in the work of European
Judo Association’s 60th jubilee congress. The calendar schedule of
the 2009 events was discussed at the congress, and a decision was
made to hold the European Youth Championship in Yerevan next September.
