Tajikistan, Belarus, Armenia to join Eurasian Development Bank

MOSCOW Dec 12

The council of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) has approved
Tajikistan, Belarus and Armenia joining the bank, EDB’s press office
said Friday.

The three countries will contribute a total of U.S. $15.6 million to
the bank by purchasing newly issued shares.

The EDB was established by Russia and Kazakhstan in 2006 to boost
investment across the former Soviet Union.
