ARMENIAN PRESIDENT SERZH SARGSYAN MEETS WITH HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENDER ARMEN HARUTYUNIAN

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met today with the Human Rights
Defender Armen Harutyunian. Presidential press service told Armenpress
that during the meeting the sides discussed a number of issues on
general situation over the human rights and freedoms in the republic.
As a result of the meeting the president of the country assigned the
Armenian Justice Minister and aide to the Armenian president on legal
issues to conduct service examination over the recent alarms about
usage of force in the prisons of the republic.
The human rights defender expressed readiness to participate in the
conduction of the service examination.
