ArmInfo. "Gazprom" offered assistance to Georgia in elimination of the
accident on the gas pipeline to recover Armenia’s gas supply, deputy
Head of the Information Policy Department of "Gazprom" OJSC Igor
Volobuyev told journalists.
According to him, Georgia suspended transit of the Russia gas to
Armenia on Friday. The Georgian party explains the suspension by
"carrying out of accident recovery work for elimination of the revealed
damages on 43,4-66 km section of the main gas pipeline
"Kazakh-Saguramo". "In view of this, "Gazprom" OJSC and "ArmRusgazprom"
CJSC sent a proposal to the Gas Transport Company to render an
immediate assistance in elimination of the accident consequences for
prompt recovery of gas supply to Armenia", Volobuyev said.
