The Russian-Ukrainian gas conflict started because of simple
economic reasons, but very quickly it grew into a complex political
confrontation, political scientist Yervand Bozoyan considers. According
to him, there is a third hand here, which is trying to aggravate the
ongoing Russian-Ukrainian gas conflict.

According to political scientist Manvel Sargsyan, the gas conflict
was inflamed by Europe.

Yervand Bozoyan considers that one of the reasons why the economic
conflict rapidly grew into a political one was the that there is no
united government in Ukraine, and every of the three existing poles
tries to derive its own benefits.
