Coded messages between high-level leaders of the Ergenekon
organization, dictating sabotage and assassinations, were found in
Ä°brahim Å~^ahin’s home.

THE GOAL WAS TO CREATE CHAOS

The documents, which included messages regarding assassinations,
were confiscated from Å~^ahin’s home in Erenköy. The messages found
included information on the local elections as well as a warning that
a vehicle loaded with six bombs was set to explode in a busy shopping
center in Ankara. These cryptic messages also included orders for
leaders in both Alevi and Armenian society’s to be assassinated.

UNDERSECRETARIAT PROPOSAL

Å~^ahin, whom has since been arrested, stated: "I shared certain
information regarding Armenians with MÄ°T (the National Intelligence
Agency). They wanted me to investigate deeper. Both Metin PaÅ~_a and
Bekir Kalyoncu PaÅ~_a, from the General Staff, stated that I would
be made Undersecretary for a Terrorism Prevention Agency. I had also
learned of the Aktutun attack prior."

Ergenekon weapons

The police have revealed to the press the weapons recovered in the
latest Ergenekon operation where 33 people were taken into custody. The
weapons confiscated include 25 hand grenades, 2 rockets, 820 grams of
explosives, a US made explosive used in assassinations, 2 Kalashnikovs,
rifle bombs, ammunition, 4 gas bombs and ten hunting rifles.
