ArmInfo-RBK. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has disproved the
information according to which last year Russia delivered military
equipment and armament to Armenia. "We have drawn attention at
publication of a document in Azerbaijani mass media, which enumerates
a big number of military equipment and stores allegedly delivered to
Armenia recently. I had a talk on the topic to Azerbaijan’s ambassador,
and our ambassador to Baku had a talk to Azerbaijani foreign minister.

Today I am going to phone my Azerbaijani counterpart. Together with
General Headquarters we have investigated the situation. The man whose
name is mentioned in Azerbaijani mass media did not sign any document,
and no weapon was delivered to Armenia last year. According to our
investigation, such a document does not exist’, – Russian foreign
minister said at the press-conference in Moscow. He also added that
Russia has never hidden the fact that it has a programme of the
military and technical cooperation with Armenia as well as with
Azerbaijan, and these programmes are not secret.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
