President of the Christian-Democratic Union of Armenia Khosrov
Harutyunyan spoke about the issue of depriving or not depriving
Armenia of the right to vote at the PACE winter session. He told a
press conference today that the possibility of depriving Armenia of
the right to vote cannot be ruled out.

However, Khosrov Harutyunyan considers that a different comprehension
will prevail in the European political approaches.

"Europeans have stated many times that despite the existing
difficulties and obstacles, they understand that the democratization
of public life has greatly advanced. This is still a process that
needs to be completed.

Pushing us out of the process would harm the political objectives
they pursue. I have some internal conviction, my political discretion
prompts that sanctions should not be applied on January 27. Instead, it
is necessary to speak about more effective mechanisms of cooperation,
which will provide an opportunity to move forward."
