ARMENIAN UNION OF MANUFACTURERS AND BUSINESSMEN TO PARTICIPATE IN INTERNATIONAL FORUM REFERRING TO THE ISSUES OF MIGRATION AND ANTI-TRAFFICKING

YEREVAN, JANUARY 23, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Union of Manufacturers and
Businessmen will participate February 18-20 in an international forum
referring to the issues of migration and anti-trafficking.

The director of the union Gagik Makaryan told Armenpress that during
the forum issues referring to migration and trafficking issues will
be discussed, representatives of the countries will refer to the
experience of each other.

"During the forum mechanisms will be developed towards regulating the
issues and effective fighting against illegal activities," G. Makaryan
said. Representatives of 11 countries will participate in the forum –
from Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Russia and Eastern Europe.

The union will also participate in the "Bridge 2009" sixth
international economic conference where political scientists,
representatives of legislative and executive bodies, manufacturers and
businessmen, scientists and public figures will take part. The topic
of the conference is "Prospects of International Economic Cooperation –
Issues and Solutions".

In the period from May to October the union expects business unions
with Ukraine, Belarus as well as Italy. G. Makaryan underscored the
organization of such forums, noting that this is another occasion to
present Armenia’s products as well as establish new business ties.
