CENTER OF ACCOUNTING SERVICES TO SME OPENED IN YEREVAN

YEREVAN, January 26. /ARKA/. A center of accounting services for
small and medium enterprises (SME) was launched in Yerevan Saturday.
The opening is an important event for the country, Armenian Premier
Tigran Sargsyan said at the opening ceremony.
The center will be providing affordable and standardized services,
he said expressing hope that thousands of enterprises will take
advantage of these services. Armenian Government undertook to pay
the center opening costs.
On September 25 2008, the government had allocated 72.5mln Drams
to establish the accounting center for SME. Later, the government
appropriated 11.1mln Drams for capital repair and procurement of
equipment for the center.
Executive Director of the National Center for SME development Ishkhan
Karapetyan, in his turn, said that the new center will provide services
and communicate skills to SME for preparing reports on their own. The
government will pay for SME operating in Yerevan 50% and for regional
enterprises 80% of the costs of the tax reporting services.
The main aim of the center is to help small and medium businesses
conduct keep accounting records, prepare tax reports, carry out audit
and internal supervision, solve their problems with tax system and
keep their interests protected. ($1=305.42Drams).
