ZEEV ELKIN: TURKEY POSITION PROVED INEVITABILITY OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE RECOGNITION BY ISRAEL

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Turkey’s attitude to Cast Lead operation caused
disappointment in Israel, a Likud party member said.

"Ankara’s position has proved inevitability of the Armenian Genocide
recognition. As to a Knesset resolution, the new parliament will start
work on February 24 and Likud party stands a good chance to head it,"
Zeev Elkin told PanARMENIAN.Net.

"I was right to insist on recognition of the Armenian Genocide. We
did not do it, and instead of support, we received harsh criticism
from Turkey," Mr. Elkin said.

Turkey has condemned the Cast Lead operation Israel launched in
Gaza. Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan even called to ban Israel from
the UN, thus inciting a wave of anti-Semitism in Turkey.
