HEADS OF ARMENIAN DIASPORAS ARRESTED AS A RESULT OF COURT’S DECISION IN TBILISI

Tbilisi-APA. Akhalkalaki residents Grigori Minasian and Sergei
Akopjanian were sentenced to two-month imprisonment as a result of
court’s decision in Tbilisi, APA reports.
Both were arrested by Georgian intelligence on January 22.
Grigori is a head of Armenian Youth Center and Sergei is a head of
Sharl Azanvur charity society in Akhalkalaki. They were accused of
spying and attempting to establish illegal armed forces. Georgian
reintegration Minister Teimour Yakobashvili stated that there were
forces, which stirred up water, functioned under NGOs by the order
of neighboring country.
