Armenian industrial output up 2% in 2008

YEREVAN Jan 30

Total industrial production in Armenia in 2008 increased by 2% to
751.2 billion dram ($2.5 billion), the National Statistics Service
said in a report.

Output sales in 2008 came to 741.9 billion dram (305.21 dram/$1 on
January 30, 2009), 75 billion dram of which was from CIS countries.

Mining production in 2008 went up by 1.5% to 105.3 billion rubles,
manufacturing – 0.6% to 508.9 billion dram and production and
distribution of electricity, water and gas – up 8% to 136.9 billion
dram.
