Russian, Azeri defence ministers meet in Moscow – Russian report

Moscow, 30 January: The Russian and Azerbaijani defence ministers on
Friday [30 January] discussed cooperation, the Russian minister’s
press secretary Col Aleksey Kuznetsov said.

"Russian Defence Minister Anatoliy Serdyukov met Azerbaijani Defence
Minister Col-Gen Safar Abiyev, who came to Russia yesterday on a
working visit," he said. "The sides discussed current relations
between the Russian and Azerbaijani defence ministries and future
contacts."

["In addition, the ministers had a detailed exchange of opinions on
reports of Russia’s arms deliveries to Armenia worth 800m
dollars. Serdyukov said that in 2008 Russia did not deliver the
reported quantity and types of weapons to Armenia," according to
