BAILIFF SERVICE: ISSUE OF ARMENIAN BJNI MINERAL WATER FACTORY PURELY LEGAL MATTER
ARKA
Feb 3, 2009
YEREVAN, February 3. /ARKA/. The issue of Armenian Bjni mineral water
factory is a purely legal matter, Chief Bailiff of Armenian Bailiff
Service Mihran Poghosyan said.
Like other cases that of Bjni is considered from legal point of view;
the only difference is the volume, the press service of the Bailiff
Service reported. No importance is attached to the social status
or political views of the participants of the proceedings while
considering the case, Poghosyan said.
Yet, according to him, one of the parties to the proceedings made an
attempt to politicize the case.
The property of Bjni mineral water factor was put on a compulsory
auction, but no bids were submitted from January 23 to February 2. A
new auction is to be held on February 5 with a lot price reduced
by 10%.
"Bjni" mineral water factory belongs to SIL concern owned by Sukiasyan
family. The stockholder of Bjni member of Armenian Parliament Khachatur
Sukiasyan is currently wanted by the police. The operations of the
factory were suspended in autumn 2008. The property of the factory
was seized by the Bailiff Service and put on an online auction.
The attack against 28-year old bailiff Hayk Babajanyan was allegedly
connected with the case of Bjni factory, but the law enforcement
bodies established that the assaulter a certain Armen Zakaryan had
no connection with the case.
Earlier Babajanyan was in charge of proceedings on recovering some
50,000 Drams from Zakaryan where the latter and his property were
announced wanted.
